Pakistani Film ‘Nayab’ to be Showcased at Jaipur International Film Festival
JAIPUR: Pakistani actress Yemeni Zaidi’s debut film, Nayab – Naam Yad Rakhana, is set to make waves in India, with its selection for screening at the prestigious Jaipur International Film Festival.
Indian media reports confirm that the sports drama, which has already garnered acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival in France, where it won two awards, will now be featured at the Jaipur festival. Nayab tells the inspiring story of a young girl who battles societal barriers to pursue her dream of a cricket career.
The film is presented by Rumina Umair and Umair Irfani, with the screenplay crafted by Ali Abbas Naqvi and Basit Naqvi. Alongside Yemeni Zaidi, the cast includes prominent actors Javed Sheikh, Adnan Siddiqui, Muhammad Fawad Khan, Usman Khan, Ehtshamuddin, Faryal Mehmood, Umm Hani Taha, and others.
The Jaipur International Film Festival will take place from August 28 to 30, offering a global platform for Nayab to shine.
